Our computer caught a virus this past weekend and I didn’t have a lot of time to sit down and figure it out until mid morning Sunday, which luckily I was able to manually recover and clean up our PC. But I will tell ya, I had some serious fits on Saturday and was worried I was going to lose all my photos on there!
And since I was busy being lazy and enjoying a relaxing Mother’s Day, I am a little late to post. But I do want to wish all the wonderful women in my life a very happy Mother’s Day. You all are in my thoughts and I hope you got some special treatment!
This Mother’s Day is pretty special to me and luckily I have a family that recognized that. And I have to say that Tom and the girls spoiled me. They helped him pick out this Mother’s Bracelet. It has all 5 girls’ birthstones in it. (Now just have to hope the baby comes in August – LOL). But I love it! He also treated me to a spa day where I can get my hair cut/colored, a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed! Then he took me to lunch at Applebee’s. And since I was in a total food coma afterwards , I got to nap and relax. It was a great day!
Also, in light of keeping up to date and promising my mother photos of my belly, I will share with you my 24 weeks belly shot. And no, I am not in neon yellow for this but the classic and ever slimming black. Which, is pretty moot when I’m getting to be as big as a barn. But I am glad I am doing this as it will be fun to look back at later.
On a scrapbooking note, I had a couple challenges posted at For the Luv of Art for NSD, which you can check out if you are still looking for a challenge. The chances to win the RAK are passed but it’d be fun to still see y’all play along.
One of my challenges I had posted a tutorial on as well, which I will go ahead and share with y’all. It’s pretty similar to my tutorial using the Martha Stewart Loop Punch in a circle. But this one uses the EK Success Large Circle Border Punch.
First I started out by punching a regular border:
Then I cut each individual scallop:
Then I punched a 2″ circle out of white cardstock for a base to glue each piece too:
I then repeated it using a 1″ circle for a layered look:
End Result once I layered and embellished is this:
Supplies used are from Echo Park – For the Record.
I hope you all had a fun NSD and a special Mother’s Day! Drop me a line and tell me how you spent your day!! I would love to hear from you!

Hey Girl! SO glad you had a very special Mother’s Day! Sounds like you were really pampered, just as you deserve. Love your new bracelet. I had a quiet day at home with my kiddos, which I loved. My son wrote me a sweet card, and my daughter spoiled me with a few trinkets. I’m a lucky girl. 🙂
I am in love with your latest belly photo! You look beautiful!
And LOVE that flower you created. What a brilliant use of a border punch. Thanks so much for sharing the how-to’s.
